The Avijeet’s Abode
Residentiallocation : Sector 35-C, Chandigarh, India
About Project
Brief: The founder did everything possible to create an explicitly authentic home for the family. The rustic appeal of the area perfectly captures the Victorian era while adding a thoroughly modern twist. The modern amenities of the interiors mesh beautifully with the old-fashioned house décor. In reality, the living and dining areas exhibit a golden tone with a hint of a flowery ambience perfectly depicted with pastel sheets on the walls. The HDF has been cleverly utilized for safeguarding the house against termites for many years. Another fantastic feature is a roadside bungalow’s soundproof glazing, which does not mask the tranquil surroundings. At the same time, the pine wood panelling is done to maintain an overall rugged, earthy feel.
Challenge
To design a rich victorian yet contemporary layout that falls under the jurisdiction of the floor-area-ratio defined by the government.
